Life on California's beautiful Central Coast

Bad beetles and batteries in Frisco

Right now Erik is laboring outside the van to replace the auxiliary battery which is not holding a charge, and hasn’t been for some time. Luckily it was not as expensive to fix as initially feared.

We are in Frisco, CO, which is the gateway to Breckenridge and also near a pretty lake. Unfortunately, there is a pine beetle plague here and the trees are not too healthy.

We’ve  been traveling on I-70 today, and it is trashed from snow damage and overuse. Luckily they are doing a lot of road work with NRRA funds to get it fixed.

We were attempting to make Granby tonight and get off the I-70 corridor, not sure if that will happen or not as I just heard some swearing coming from battery-replacement central.
